For specialized care for acute and chronic non-healing wounds, CHI St. Luke’s Health board-certified physicians and expert healthcare teams develop patient-specific treatment plans.
We accept referrals from primary care physicians and healthcare workers as well as self-referrals. Throughout treatment, our staff communicates with referring physicians to assure a smooth continuum of care and optimal healing.
Among others, we can help with the following conditions:
- Arterial ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Chronic wounds
- Non-healing surgical wounds
- Traumatic wounds
Wound care begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment, followed by outpatient therapies to help wounds close and heal. Treatments may include medication, vacuum-assisted closure, debridement (removal of tissue), bioengineered skin products, and hyperbaric (pressurized oxygen) therapy. CHI St. Luke’s Health wound care includes an aggressive limb salvage program, led by physicians who are experts in restoring blood circulation.
