Scholastic Development Program

The Scholastic Development Program offers an individualized sport-specific program for athletes ages 13-18 that provides a tailored, position-specific, plan for off-season, in-season and post-season strength development and conditioning. This program provides the fundamental components of athletic performance: strength, power, speed, agility, conditioning, flexibility and nutrition.

The Scholastic Development Program also offers team training. Team training consists of athletes from the same team or sport. Basic movement techniques are taught progressing to more sport-specific activities as techniques are mastered. Key strength and stability exercises are incorporated to enhance quality of movement and performance. A video analysis of movement and specific skill is captured with Dartfish technology, which is then assessed by Tektonic Athletic Development and Rehabilitation, a Department of St.. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital staff and the team coach. Sport-specific collective testing is used to assist in the detection of further individual and team deficits. Team training requires a minimum of 24 scheduled sessions.
