MISSION
Tektonic Athletic Development and Rehabilitation, a Department of St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital, mission is to provide athletes of all ages and abilities with a full-service training facility and an expert team of athletic development professionals to allow the athlete to reach their full genetic potential at every stage of their athletic career, while also serving as a valued resource to athletes, parents and coaches.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide a multi-faceted sports performance facility that meets the individual training needs of the competitive and elite athlete in one convenient location.
- To provide evaluation of the athlete’s performance level at each stage of their athletic development.
- To provide an individualized, sport or work-specific program that offers objective, quantifiable feedback on a consistent basis to ensure each athlete reaches and maintains their full performance potential.
- To provide the athlete with an integrated team of sports medicine specialists who can provide injury prevention programs and performance rehabilitation specific to the athlete’s individual biomechanical risk factors.
- To provide the athlete with an integrated team of sports medicine specialists who can diagnose, treat and provide a systematic rehabilitative plan for the injured athlete and assist the athlete, parents and coaches with determining the safest level of return-to-practice and return-to-play after injury.
- To provide the athlete with an integrated support team comprised of parents, sport coach, physician, physical therapist, athletic development coach, sports psychologist and sports nutritionist into the player’s performance improvement program and, when injured, their plan for return-to-competition.
