Additional VIP Health Assessment Services
St. Luke’s recognizes that each person’s health status, family history and concerns are unique. That’s why, in addition to the number of services included in the Executive Physical program, St. Luke’s offers a number of supplementary health services to fit your individual needs. These and other services can help prevent illnesses and detect early disease conditions that may require immediate attention. Your St. Luke’s Executive Physical physician can help you decide which services you may need.

Additional services may include:

Mammography
St. Luke’s digital mammography – the only one of its kind in Montgomery County – has many advantages: shorter exam time, lower radiation doses (particularly is women with dense breast tissue) and fewer callbacks. Physicians are able to electronically manipulate and enhance the information to increase detection results.

Colonoscopy
Sedation eliminates the discomfort of this colon cancer screening; therefore a second screening day is necessary for this procedure.
Age-based recommendations

  • 50 and older: If you have no family history of polyps or colon cancer, we recommend a baseline colonoscopy at age 50. Repeat once every 10 years if the baseline is normal.
  • 49 and younger: If you have a family history of polyps or colon cancer, we recommend a baseline colonoscopy at least five years earlier than the lowest age any family member was diagnosed with the polyp or cancer (unless you know for a fact that the polyp was hyperplastic–a type that poses no risk for cancer).

Bone Density Study
This digital study helps your physician measure and monitor bone mass; it aids in the diagnosis of osteoporosis. A typical exam takes only 20 minutes, and patients who wear clothing without metal fasteners are not required to undress. A body fat analysis can be done at the same time.

Offering Comfort and Convenience to the International Community
St. Luke’s is proud to offer Executive Physical services to all international clients who are interested in learning preventive health measures in an atmosphere of the highest quality care and latest technology. The program is open to members of your organization who visit The Woodlands.
