St. Luke's Woodlands Hospital Emergency Department (located at the hospital in The Woodlands) is staffed by board-certified adult and pediatric emergency physicians. The department includes triage, exam and procedure rooms.

St. Luke’s Community Emergency Centers (CECs) also are available to people of all ages with minor and major injuries and illnesses who may not need the resources of a hospital-based Emergency Department. The CECs are Emergency Centers that are located out "in the community" which is where the Community Emergency Center (CEC) name was derived. We have 2 CECs in The Woodlands area (see addresses below). Each is staffed by board-certified physicians, emergency-trained nurses and licensed radiology and laboratory technologists. The Centers offer comprehensive emergency care around the clock; visits are billed as hospital emergency room services. Referral and transport to a hospital may be necessary based on the patient's condition and will be determined by the physician.
