Diagnostic Services
Diagnostic services available at the Cancer Center at St. Luke's include rapid access and availability to cancer specialists-both for referred patients and for self-referrals and coordinated care by an oncology certified nurse. Our Kirby Glen location, one mile from the hospital, offers convenient access to CT scan, MRI and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
Diagnostic Imaging
St. Luke’s all-digital diagnostic studies mean lower-dosage radiation, shorter exam time, fewer callbacks and faster results.
Images can be sent electronically to requesting physicians and to radiologists in the Texas Medical Center, including mammography experts at St. Luke's and pediatric radiologists at Texas Children's Hospital. Voice recognition reporting translates to quicker report delivery to primary care physicians and faster treatment for patients.
General diagnostic testing includes radiology, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, nuclear medicine and pulmonary function testing. Women's services comprise bone density, body composition studies, mammography, breast ultrasound and biopsy, breast MR and biopsy, and steriotactic exams.
The department offers a number of specialty services, including vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology. Kyphoplasty, a minimally invasive spinal surgery procedure used to treat vertebral compression fractures, also is offered at St. Luke’s.

The Cancer Center at St. Luke's Institute offers an Outpatient Infusion Center at St. Luke's Diagnostic and Treatment Center - Kirby Glen. St. Luke's Radiation Oncology offers consults and radiation treatments. The clinic at The O'Quinn Medical Tower offers a nurse coordinator and access to oncology physician specialists to assist each patient.
