St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital Ranked Among Houston’s Top 10 Hospitals By U.S. News & World Report
St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital (SLWH) has been named one of the top 10 hospitals in the Houston metro area, ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s 2012-13 Best Hospitals list. In addition, the hospital was designated a high-performing hospital in Neurology & Neurosurgery and Orthopedics and also was recognized among the Best Hospitals in the Piney Woods region of Texas.
“We strive every day to provide Faithful, Loving Care® to our neighbors in Montgomery County and North Harris County, and this esteemed accolade from U.S. News & World Report is a tribute to the skills and dedication of our entire staff,” said Debra F. Sukin, senior vice president, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, and chief executive officer, SLWH and St. Luke’s Lakeside Hospital. “We are especially proud to be recognized for our quality of care and to have advanced into the top 10 hospitals in Houston.”
According to U.S. News Health Rankings Editor Avery Comarow, the hospital rankings are like a GPS-type aid to help steer patients to hospitals with strong skills in the procedures and medical conditions that present the biggest challenges.
As an integral part of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, SLWH has contributed to enhancing community health by delivering superior value in high quality, cost-effective acute care since opening in 2003. Once an 84-bed nonprofit hospital, SLWH has grown to 184 beds in the last 10 years.
St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital is located at 17200 St. Luke’s Way in The Woodlands, at the southwest corner of SH 242 (College Park Drive) and Interstate 45. For more information, call 936-266-2000 or visit StLukesWoodlands.com.
