St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System has earned numerous awards and garnered recognition from such organizations as FORTUNE Magazine. St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital will continue the award-winning tradition of the Health System to which it belongs.

St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital has been named to the list of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare magazine.

In addition, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System was also named. On this inaugural list, no other hospital or healthcare system in Houston was recognized.

Approximately 240 healthcare employers completed a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics.  Employees were asked in-depth questions in eight core areas:  leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction.  Based on these results, Modern Healthcare placed both St. Luke’s entities in the top 100.

St. Luke’s earns American Nurses Credentialing Center “Pathway To Excellence™” designation

St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital has achieved the Pathway to Excellence™ designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

The Pathway to Excellence™ designation identifies the elements of work environments where nurses can flourish. The designation substantiates the professional satisfaction of nurses at St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital and identifies it as one of the best places to work.

The Pathway to Excellence™ designation is granted based on the confirmed presence of twelve essential elements for the ideal nursing practice environment.  For a hospital to earn the Pathway to Excellence™ distinction, it must successfully undergo a thorough review process that documents foundational quality initiatives in creating a positive work environment — as defined by nurses and supported by research. These initiatives must be present in the facility’s practices, policies, and culture. Nurses in the hospital verify the presence of the criteria in the organization through participation in a completely confidential online survey.
